If this is in the wrong area please move:confused:

Ok I was looking into hard drives and I noticed they only go up to 500GB...alot of people they have 1 TB on there computer. If you are building can you put in two 500s or do you have to buy an external hard drive? Thanks:confused:

You can put as many hard drives in as your mobo/cabeling allows i believe.

If its an IDE hard drive you can fit 2 doing master/slave or if you have sata u can do that too (not sure if master/slave is the same with sata) but yes, thats pefectly fine.

Yes, you can use two 500GB drives. Like [edit] DJS2 [/edit] said, you can add as many drives as your system will allow. You can also buy add in cards to attach more drives if need be.
HD's actually go up to 750 gigs right now, but terabyte drives should be coming out fairly soon. :D

Depending on the mobo you have, you can have anywhere from 4 to 8 hard drives. I have a GA-965P-DS3 with six sata slots so if I wanted to, I can add 6x 750GB hard drives which is 4.5TB of hard drive space. :)
