Hard drive going bad?

I'm having an odd detection issue with one of my storage drives.

Basically, every time I do a normal shutdown and turn it back on, it stops detecting the drive. The only way to get it working again is if I do a cold boot. When I boot up from either a warm or cold shutdown, it sits there and takes ~60 seconds to detect (or not detect) the drive. Normal system restarts are perfectly fine, it goes through the post process instantly like it should. The drive is about 2 years old, and only started doing this recently.

I tried swapping cables/sata ports, but that did nothing so I'm fairly sure it's the hard drives problem. I'm just wondering if anyone knows of a remedy for this. Besides this issue the drive still seems to be working perfectly fine, benchmarks are still pretty much the same as when I bought it.

Install CrystalDiskInfo and see what it says about the drive. If it says Good the drive probably is not the issue. If it says anything other than Good please post a screen shot of the app somewhere and link here.

Age or drive usage are not always the only reasons for a drive to die. A drive can show up DOA or last 7 years and there is a chance of it dieing any time in between.

Thanks, it does say good. Maybe I should try it in my downstairs PC and see if the issue persists.

But I did try swapping the cables with my other storage drive, which is the exact same model with no luck. That's why I'm skeptical about it not being the drives problem.
