Woo hoo! I just go to work and I found out that one of our drives on the primary server has failed! Not only that, but a power supply too! Let's hear it for redundancy and RAID!

Now off to order a drive and power supply.

On another note (the geek part of this post), I was sitting here calculating how many revolutions the failed drive has made since it was brought online almost exactly 6 years ago. Here's my estimation:

5400 rpm (revolutions per minute) x 60 minutes per hour x 24hours per day x 365 days per year x 6 years (not accounting for leap years) =

17,029,440,000 revolutions ~ give or take a few million I'm sure :eek:

I hope my math is right or I'm going to be really embarrased ;)
