I have a 160GB WB Baracuda. Recently my computer has been acting up. I would get random errors. FFXI, IE, and Firefox would randomly crash. My computer would just randomly reboot. I though maybe there was a virus, so I reformatted and reinstalled Windows XP. Still the same. I notice that my HDD is alot louder than it used to be. Is it time to start looking for a new HDD?
Sigh... off to work...
 
Err.. LOL. I meant SEAGATE Baracude. Got mixed up because I'm checking out WD Raptors lol...
 
When's the last time you ran Memtest? You might also want to download the UBCD and run the Seagate disk check utility.

 
I took one of the RAM sticks out and everything seems to be fine now. I guess that one is dead or something. Gonna have to RMA it. =/
