hey all, i'm in a bit of a fix here
ok upgrading a pc. going from a 120 gb hard drive up to a 160gb as the primary. the owner of the pc wants the 160 in 1 big partition as the master drive. i fire up my systemworks and prep the drive to clone, i figure no big its a xp pro sp2 system so i should be cool. run it and the system reboots no prob, test the 160 as a slave drive copy files back and forth, run some stuff, fill it past the 137 limit to make sure there is no corruption. everything checks. so i shut down and switch the 160gb to primary master and completely disconnect the old primary. boots and recognizes in bios, goes through, past the boot from cdrom, and instead of firing into windows it just locks after the attempt to boot from cd (no cds are in the drives), nothing, switch back to the 120 boots no problem. at a bit of a loss here. i know the os version supports large disks and that it is enabled. is it because the drives are fat32? (the original was so when cloned the 160 became the same). so that is my dilema, how do i get this thing working without reinstalling windows. would a repair installation work? any help would rock.
