Hard drive choices

Hey guys wondering what opinions are on choosing between these 2 or maybe a larger sized one at 7200.

just wondering what you think i should do, and maybe some upsides of the 10,000 rpm one over a larger 7200 drive. Thanks guys.

The WD will be faster for desktop usage. That SCSI drive is not all that appropriate for a desktop. Besides, you'd need a separate SCSI adapter for the latter.

The Raptor if you want speed, or else any Seagate or Western Digital.

i'd go for the WD 250 with the 16mb cache

A) Don't buy HDDs on Newegg. ZZF is a better dealer.

B) The desktop performance of that Hitachi drive is laughable.

C) I'd stick with 7200RPM personally, but if you can wedge everything into 70GB, a Raptor may be a good fit for you.

what makes ZZF so much better than newegg...they sell the same drives.

Newegg ships bare drives with just peanuts in a box. There is room for it to slide around and possibly get damaged during shipping.

ZZF does a better job at packaging hard drives.
