Hard drive capacity problem

I got a new computer recently and have been having problems with Windows XP recognizing the space on my 250GB SATA hard drive. When I install I only get about 130GB to show up and the rest is missing. Could it be the 137GB limit? I thought it only applied to old stuff? I installed a copy without any of the service packs but now I've managed to install SP 2 does it have something to do with that?

Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 ST3250620AS 250GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA
Sound Blaster Audigy 2

after you install SP2, you can go Control Panel -> Administrative Control -> Computer Management -> Disk Management and you'll see the remainder of your hdd space
