just got myself some new ram, and thought about checking it out - installed everything, set fsb to 220 and bang, "plz insert boot disk bla bla bla". I remember reading about some kind of problems with SATA harddisks and overclocking, is there anything i can do ?

Make sure your board has a AGP/PCI lock to keep them at 66Mhz/33Mhz asynch from your fsb.

If you don't have a AGP/PCI lock, then chances are you're screwed. Have to use PATA disks and even they will corrupt if the speed gets too high.

What board do you have?

I have an ic7-max3 running at 222 1:1, system disk is sata, secondary is pata.

No problems here
