Hard Disk Error

I am dual booted between Linux and XP and every once in a while when I boot up it says GRUB Hard Disk Error and then stays there. When I restart it usually is okay and doesnt happen for a while. Is this something I should be worried about? I am planning on getting a new HD soon but waiting for the 7200.8 to be available.
