well I am happy to report i got my new 3.0ghz to 3.54ghz on a Gigabyte 8IK1100, with 1gb of mushkin blue line ram and a Zalman 7000 AL-CU

Ram is running at 392mhz (1.66 adjuster in bios) at 2.5-6-6-6.

The processor is pushed to limits as it sits idel at about 35C (case is 25) and pushes up to 59C at 100% and about 52C under a gaming load (BF1942).

Can't get the memory up to 470 though which would be the 2.0 adjuster in the bios. I might to ratchet it down to CL3, but I think I might stay here for awhile.

I was kinda worried as I couldn't find much on the Gigabyte board....

59 celcius man is quite hot... jesus... i would get extra cooling...

Damn did you overclock that sucker good:)

I dunno but i just think thats way too hot....

According to the Sticky up top, i seem to be ok. Maybe a little on the warm side, but nowhere close to 72C

Your overclocked chip having load temps in the 50's is well below trottle. I won't worry. Nice oc there.

Ok heres something fun....now its operating at 3.6GHZ and a lower temp around 47C.....should I go higher...I almost giddy..to try it...

I have one worry, i have fixed the agp/pci/src at 66/33/100 but the gigabyte utility show them running out of spec. I don't take much stock in teh gigabyte utility as if you try to overclock using soley that, and then check your results with wcpuid, it still shows stock speed. I only use it right now for a Temp, but then agian I don't know how off that might be either. But MBM 5 aggreed with the gigabytes temp, so that kinda gives me a warm fuzzy on how its going.

Ram is now back to running at 400MHZ (stillusing the 1.66 ratio, I imagine that is 5:3 but never heard of that timing.)

Hers a screeny.

Should i go for 3.8?
