Looks like newegg.com is doing a 2 for 1 on WD Raptor 36GB 10,000RPM drives. LOL

I ordered one from newegg on Monday and FedEx showed up and low and behold there are 2 drives in the box! :D

Now I just have to figure out what to do with the second. Any Ideas? and no I will not give it to anyone :p
 
Any other ideas about what I could do?

I know that I could do a RAID0 and have a 72GB drive but i am afraid I will lose performance.

Your not going to lose performance....you just won't gain any either. Losing data would be the concern...not performance.
 
as long as the drives are going to be holding nothing important on them (windows install, not family pictures and tax records...) i'd say go for raid 0
 
Yeah I have a 100GB and an 80GB for pictures, backups etc.. This will be soley for the OS and any installed Applications.

I just don't see me needing 70+GB just for applications
 
make a 2nd rig then? or just sell it here

honestly i wouldnt use it for a while, as newegg might ask for it back...
