Hey guys, a lot of handbrake users here, hopefully someone can help. I have a 10 minute .mp4 I got from Direct Video Downloader. I use the .mp4 for example 8:11 and 118 Mb.

I click source, file, select the file, hit open, go to destination, open the folder I want it saved to, (I tried leaving the name blank, making up a name, and making up a name.mp4). I get the settings set up and then click start. It'll abort pretty quickly and not make a file.

Significantly condensed output. Previewing it also fails to open, this occurs on all the .mp4s I have tried.

Things I can note: Says I'm not supported, can't open the file.

Any tips or help? I'm afraid I missed something entirely obvious.

Edited:
I wanted to say thanks, normally end my posts like that but missed it this time!

Thanks as always for your time guys and gals.
