Please post any hardware that has been so disappointing you'd like to take a hammer to it. I'll start:

Asus X800XT PE graphics

Linksys WMP 54G cards.... ARGH !!! had multiple cards, version 4.0 and 4.1, and even a speedbooster version...

and NONE of them have good range. My roommate's laptop gets excellent reception in my room, but my computer won't connect. argh. I just bought a non-linksys from newegg though.

PCI wireless cards.

I had a netgear, and a trendnet, and neither one worked as well as the usb one i have.

Via chipset + SBLive a couple years ago. Snap crackle pop and blame game on both ends. I gave up.

Intel Celeron something or other, and an Asrock 775 something mobo. I wanted a dead cheap low power box for my MythTV setup, and couldn't get the damn thing going. Everything else in it was golden, but either the mobo or the CPU wouldn't go at all.

So they're sitting in my spare parts pile as not-very-trustworthy parts. I wound up buying something I knew would work the first damn time -- an AMD CPU and mobo.

For some reason, Intel builds always make me feel like getting out the hammer and threatening the hardware. AMD builds always go smooth as Irish whiskey, like Jameson's.

eVGA 5900XT in DX9, lol. newegg even ripped me off by not giving me cod, which was supposed to be free. evga made up for it, though. they hooked me up.

the samsung monitor 793s, it had this obnoxious flickering, i just wanted to hammer it down!
