***SPOILERS***



















OK, so obviously there is going to be a 3rd installment of this game as we see the Master Chief ride the Forerunner ship back to Earth with the words, "Sir, to finish the fight." We also see at the end of the credits, the Flood/Squid/Little Shop of Horrors Plant talking with Cortana. Are we going to see more battles on Earth? (Which was my favorite part of the game...very "Blackhawk Down-esque." Are we going to see the missing vehicle(s) and weapon(s)? Maybe see more of the ODST? When they spoke of the "Ark" at the end of the game, were they referring to the Forerunner ship or Earth?

when they said the ark I couldnt help but to think of Noahs Ark. Seriously it kinda makes sense. In the Biblical stories of Noahs Arc the entire Earth was engulfed in a Flood and everything was destroyed in it. Kinda makes you wonder. But yea I believe the Arc is Earth and thats why Mercy...heck thats the reason why the Covenant are attacking Earth. All the alien members of the Covenant believe they are waging this war against Earth because there Gods dont like us or something but the real reason is that the Prophets must have known that there Arc was on Earth and so they just made up some excuse to get everybody to want to anhilate us.
 
I like how the tag-line for Halo 2 was "The Earth will never be the same," when there were all of two levels on Earth.

My guess is that the Ark will just happen to be on Earth and the Master Chief and the Arbiter will meet up and fight together. Halo 3 will be more like what people were expecting from Halo 2.
 
but will it end the story and the saga, will we beat the covenent? will that halos be destroyed?

or is it just gonna tell more of the story and have a Halo4?
 
I dunno about you, but I always found something very "Biblical" about the plot...
 
Halo 3 will harken back to the origins of Halo.....thus it will be Halo3 the RTS!
 
LoL, i bet my crazy friends would still worship halo if it was an RTS. The biblical part fits, since it is so many people's bible :confused:
 
many video games and movies and such have biblical ties.. or at least some times peple can tie them to biblical things..
 
bungie said they aren't doing another halo.
they did hint on a movie. so ya.. thats what the sequal is going to be.
 
I heard that halo 3 will be releasing on the xbox2 the same day as ps3, to try and steal some of the thunder. But that could of just been gossip.

so what i've heard is.. Halo2 was great .. but nothing out of this world??

Maybe it's because Halo 1 put a lot of cool features and other things into the game play.. so it was something new to many console gamers.. but now the sequel.. though it's good, it is nothing brand new to console gamers anymore.. i don't know.. do i make sense??

i'll shut up now..
 
Also Halo 1 kind of brought the massas in gaming.. it brought new people that experienced an FPS for the first time.. you guys get me??

and so a bunch of people were exposed to this for the first time... but now with HAlO 2. the infactuation is over.. it's still a good game.. but the facination isn't there...
 
Halo 2 is a good game -
But it isn't as good as Halo 1 was, and the single player definately doesn't deserve the ratings the game is getting all over the web. The fights weren't as good - they couldn't put enough models on the screen with the higher poly-count models, or they just didn't. The pacing was off - none of the fights seemed particularly intense. The sound is off - the score that gave Halo 1 so much punch and emotion felt lacking - and the silent periods were WAY too long. The plot didn't seem particularly shocking to me - and the *spoiler*missions that you play as the arbiter*spoiler* just kinda suck. And there are several AI issues and other bugs.
I haven't had a chance to play it online - but I think that that's where Halo 2 will shine. the single player just wasn't spectacular.
Solid - worth renting, maybe buying - but not better than Halo 1 in my mind.

That said - I have beaten it twice - once on heroic, then once more on normal to see if it was different (normal was WAY more fun - heroic was trudged through - normal made the game fun).

ahh well - Half-life 2 is on the horizon!

Halo 2 is deffinitely awesome online. If you decide to play on live check out the Halo 2 live thread so you can play with fellow [H] members.
 
Bungie said they aren't working on Halo 3 as their next project, and aren't scrapping it at all. I mean it makes absolutely no sense for Bungie to make Halo 3 for Xbox 2...think of the money that would reap. What company would pass that up?

Halo 3 will probably be the part on Earth and learn why all the Monitors call him the Reclaimer.
343 Guilty Spark and the red one on Delta Halo both call him that.

They said that a while back, and they didnt mean it like that. With an ending like this...i know for a fact there will be Halo 3.
 
Bungie is probably just saying that they are gonna take a break from halo.. work on other games.. and then come back to halo later.. that's what i took when they said they aren't gonna be working on a halo 3... anyway.. they should hold on on a halo 3 for xbox 2.. IMO

I think not. Stop making rumours about things. :)
 
Ark could mean Noah's Ark...but it could also refer to the Ark of the Covenant (the vessel in which the Ten Commandments reside).

Did Bungie say they were done with Halo to work on something new or did they say it in a way to mean they will work on another Halo after a new project which is next? It shouldn't be too difficult to just use Halo 2's foundation to create Halo 3 and finish off the Trilogy before XBox 2...
