HalfLife2 Stuttering Bug is Official

I was wondering why steam downloaded an update. Only took about 20 seconds, if that. Played the game for about an hour afterwards (30 mins puzzel solving :/ ), and didnt have any stuttering. Thought I was just lucky. Hopefully, it really is fixed.
