Half-life 2 problem

I bought half-life 2, and it works fine apart from when I try to change advanced graphics settings. I can get in the menu and select what I want, but when I apply the changes, I get: "The instruction at 0x241F94F7 referenced memory at 0x00C20CC0. The memory could not be read.

I went to the troubleshooting pages, but none of the fixes there worked. Have you got any ideas?

Please help!

Just a source engine bug, I believe. Nothing much to worry about ;).

You usually get that when you spam something, like too many explosions go off at once ect.. :p

I get that error alot, especially in Garrys Mod.

Try changing the vid settings before you load a level. Also insure that your bios/drivers are updated to their newest versions. check the support under steampowered.com for more info. Does it do it any ttime else other than when you change the settings?
