I'm not a total idiot, I know how it's supposed to be done. It's just that I can't push those plastic clips back far enough to actually remove the top. I think it may be the cold temp of my place, in the high 60s currently. I'm gonna try turning it up to the mid 70s to see if that helps.

Any other tips?

All of this is to add another 200mm fan to exhaust air out the top. I'm considering that with the two of those I can use my H80 as an intake to help with CPU cooling, but I don't know if that will matter in the long run. I've heard it will only lower temps a degree or 2 C.

Thanks for any advice.

My thumbs may give out before I can get this damned thing removed, even at 75F room temp. I don't know that a second top fan is worth this much trouble. This is some tough plastic.

Protip of the day: make sure you're pushing the connector pins in the right direction. That really makes it easier to remove it. It's still tough, but much easier.
