Had Enough with this Highpoint Card

I Have a rocketraid 2300 that doesnt play nice with my MSI k8N board

some research has shown that there is a conflict with one of the Bridges, and long story short the computer wont boot when the drives are connected to the controller.

Its very very very annoying as i have to unplug the array when i restart the computer.

So im looking for something to replace this card that doesn't have stupid quirks like this one.

I need at least 4 ports, SATA II is nice but not needed.
 
did you try skipping the hp bios screen? if you press END before it starts detecting the drives in the array it will skip the whole process, I've seen that fix the no boot issue.
 
Yep try pressing "END" when the HP bios screen comes up.

If this works, you can make it permanent by flashing the bios with the proper option.

This assumes that you're not booting to a disc on the HP.
 
werid it seems when i pressed END it broke my Mirror array

im using 2 raptors on my MB as a mirror

edit: went into bios and reenabled the array, and now windows is loading again
