A Turkish hacker-turned-informant was abducted, beaten, and photographed as a warning to other informants. Cha0, the alleged perpetrator behind this attack, is big in the credit card fraud scene. Follow the jump for details and the picture.

The victim, known online as "Kier," had been leaking information to Turkish reporters about an underground figure called Cha0, when he briefly disappeared. He resurfaced in May, and described being abducted and beaten by Cha0 and his henchmen.

This is nothing new, you should see some of the tactics used by hard core MMO players. Macros, gold and x-treme pharming are big bucks and they will do anything to stop you from hampering there business. Intimidation, players going missing and protection gold are the norm from some of the big guilds.

Pretty scary stuff. Hope that dude is caught and goes away for a long time. That "online crime forum DarkMarket", I guess that's where all the criminals hang out to talk biz. Good thing the coppers don't know about it :D

How stupid is the judge in Florida? They catch some Bulgarians skimming from some ATM's who stole $160,000 in two weeks. They then give them bail for $100,000 and they skip town. WTF were they thinking?

I hear they run sweatshops in china where 11 year old kids are forced to left click all day long.

This is no joke. Apparently paying programmers to create bots is much more expensive than teaching 100 chinese kids to play WoW.
