h81i-plus bios 2305 g3258 Oc won't stick

Hi 1st time overclocking but this is strange when I change the bios settings thay don't change in win 10 like I can set the cpu to 4.2 in bios but it shows up as 3.2 in win 10 anybody know a fix thanks it's supposed to work

Where in windows? On cpu-z or what? Some software does not report your real clock speed, just the default of the chip. Check with cpu-z under load.

Hi I think it Is actually working but I'm not sure yes in cpu-z it says the multiplier is 42 and core voltage is 1.24v with I left on auto and that was at 1.060v originally so it has gone up but the speculation says g3258 at 3.2 and also in bios and about this pc it say 3.2 but like I said it looks like it's running at 4.2 do you know if this normally happens ?
