I know a lot of people have been into the h50.. and I'll admit I wanted to try water ever since I helped two buddies build custom WC rigs. ( I Just haven't had the time to build something myself lately due to work.. and wanted to get my CPU temps down because I run F@H pretty much 24/7 w/ SMP client and GPU3 on my GTX470 )..

That said, the 60$ deal on this kit at best buy made it a no brainer :)

I digress..

I'm running an HAF 932, with all the fans set up the default way.. (Side fan exhaust, top as exhaust, and rear as pull in (had to swap to the fan that came with the h50 on the rear instead of the larger CM fan that came with the case though).. and I believe the front fan is pulling in.. I havent inspected it to find out which way it pulls)

I feel silly asking this but I figured since the curved part is out on CPU fans and cpu fans pull off on the stock i7 cooler that this was how the fans blew air.. It's hard to tell because these case fans are so large and I am not sure whether the airflow i feel is in or out..

I feel silly asking to make sure but I want to get the best utility from my hardware.

Right now I'm folding an A3 smp gromacs core at 100% P6014 to be exact.

My i7 920 is set at stock, running mem at 1600..

On the H50: Core 0/1/2/3 at Load is 58/54/58/55C At Idle they were about 44/41/44/42

On my old stock cooler they were at Load: 78/77/77/76 at idle: 57/56/58/56

Overall I noticed the ACPI/thrm temp dropped 20C under load too.. and maybe 1/2C off my 470...

Are these numbers solid? I've seen some other people state their Idle temps were in the 40s on stock.. should I consider switching how I have things setup?

Any advice would be great :)

not sure what you're asking but those are great temps, I have ok airflow i'm in the low 70s

Those temps are at stock speeds 2.67Ghz.. I'm wondering if the fans are set up the best way.. also the idle temps seem kind of high from what I've read other people posting about their idle temps on stock coolers being only a few C higher..

id try to see if its loose or something thats odd since my CPU doesnt even hit the 60's and its not even on a H50 and its overclocked @ 3.5ghz

You're running a Q series CPU, I'm running an i7, i7 typically run hotter. It's definitely not loose, all the mounting screws are tightened down pretty tight and they seem to all be pretty equal into the bracket out the back
