Have my H50 on order along with 2 extra fans. I'd like to hear from actual owners of the H50 as to which setup they found best and are currently using. I've read threads where individuals are using both setups. However I would like to get away with installing this once if at all possible. As mentioned I ordered 2 fans so I will be installing it in push/pull setup just not sure if to setup as Intake or Exhaust from my case. I know each case is a little different but again would like to hear what setup have been the best results. Just for info, I'll be installing this in a Coolermaster Cosmo case. It has 4 120mm fans. 1 on bottom pulling air in, 1 rear of case as exhaust and 2 on top of case also functioning as exhaust.
 
for me the h50 is set up as an exhaust but i dont have any top case fans to exhaust the air. if i did like you i would definitely set the fans up as an intake.

the best way, and recommended by Corsair is as an intake, but I'm going to install mine as exhaust since thats the best way for my case
 
it really depends on the case and the hardware in it..

if for example you have a gfx card that dumps a ton of hot air into the case then you want it as an intake.. if you dont then you could use it as an exhaust.. the reason for this is trying to keep it from pulling hot air through the radiator thus raising the cpu temp.. but with your case setup you can probably run it as an intake fan and have no issues..
 
I have the HAF 932 with a large top exhaust fan, Ive only run the H50 as an intake, but i haven't noticed it causing any increased temps on my other components.

H50 saved me a few degrees over my old Scythe Mugen 2 to get this dog of a C0 up to 3.6, but in reality I just bought it because I thought it was cool lol.

edit: didn't choose int he poll because I haven't run both ways so I can't say which is better.

My thoughts exactly. I have 4 - GTX 275 folding and I use it as an exhaust.
 
I just won one of these things on another site's giveaway contest. I've had it installed for about 2 weeks not in my main system, but in my wife's which has an E5200 OC'd to 3.33GHz. Before it was using the stock Intel cooler and would get around 63-64C, so that's the baseline.

I installed it first as an exhaust because I missed in the instructions where it said to use it as an intake. Temps dropped considerably under load, down around 52-53C, and that's with ASUS's QFan enabled in the BIOS (though the case fans run at the full 12v all the time because the pump uses a case fan header). I turned it around after I saw that it should be an intake and the temps dropped a tiny bit more - the highest I've ever seen it was 51C and that was with 2 threads of Prime 95. So it doesn't seem like it makes a big difference, but a little bit to have the fans turned around.

Temps will also be better if you run the fan at full blast like the company recommends, but it's a pretty loud fan at full blast. Even at 52-53C it was never spun up beyond 1100RPM and that noise level was tolerable. 1700RPM is just too loud for me. I tried it for about a half hour, and temps were at 48-49 under load. Not enough to warrant the loudness, IMO.

FWIW the case fan in the front is now set to blow out as well so my system is completely "backwards".

I have an HAF 932 and have run both, and exhaust provided best temps, currently still using just the stock fan. I'm still running intake because I'm too lazy to switch and I'm currently running a very mild OC, my temps aren't too important.

Also doing intake in the 932 definitely did head up my Northbridge considerably, so yeah, intake fail.

I have an H50 mounted in the top of my Corsair 800D in an intake setup. The 140mm rear exhaust fan in the chassis pulls the hot air from the radiator right out of the case. I've never tried it any other way. I rarely cross 60C at 3.6GHz on my 920. I use two Antec Tri-cools set to medium to do the push pull.
