I was just going over the new H50 I received last week while impatiently waiting for delivery of the 600T it will be installed in. The instructions that come with the H50 include four cut sheets, each illustrating the specific mounting configuration for 1) LGA 775, 2) LGA 1156, 3) LGA 1366 and 4) AMD CPUs.
I am using a LGA-775 CPU.
I inserted the inserts into the back-plate per the appropriate cut sheet and then, to my surprise, found the machine screws in the retention ring would not align with the threaded inserts. I checked, doubled checked, and tripled checked to make sure I did not inadvertently use the wrong cut sheet, mix up the holes, use the wrong plastic screw guides in the retention ring, or even install the plastic screw guides backwards. Only after checking the alignment against the holes in an unused LGA-775 mother board did I finally realize the LGA-775 cut sheet and the LGA-1156 cut sheets have been inadvertently reversed and each shows the wrong patterns for the title of the sheets. I was able to verify this when I noticed the back-plate has the wholes for the inserts identified by very tiny raised lettering in the plastic. The LGA-1366 cut sheet is correct. I cannot speak for the AMD mounting.
Although I suspect Corsair already knows about this I am going to call them in the morning but I thought it might be useful to post this finding here also.
