H50 in a microfly

Hey guys,

Has anyone tried installing a corsair H50 in an Ultra microfly? I'm using a gigabyte P55m-ud2, so I believe there's enough clearance above the CPU. I'm more worried about installing the radiator since the 120mm fan is right next to my PSU (Earthwatts 380).

I think the clearance problem would be more towards the top cover. The rad is alot more longer than it is wide. You might be able to fit a Cooler master Hyper 212 ( with a little cutting of the aluminum side bracket), The 212 is a solid HS for the price. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103065

I don't think the hyper 212 will work for me. The mobo positions the CPU near the center, so part of it is directly underneath the PSU. I was also hoping to avoid any modding with the H50. Looks like I will just go with stock HSF still.

Yea, I see what you mean about the cpu position on that Mobo.

I believe Zalmans were the traditional choice for these cube-shaped cases. I didn't realize they were selling 1156 brackets now. I will take a look.
