H50 Any good pressure mods?

I'm not too sure if it's just 1156 but the mounting system on the H50 kind of blows. My true fit tighter with a 775 bracket. I'm thinking that an O-ring between the bracket and the plastic inserts might work. Maybe sanding down or cutting the plastic inserts that hold the screws?

I'm not sure but do you remember how much your H50 dropped your load and idle temps compared to stock cooler?

I haven't gotten around to trying anything yet. I'm mostly looking for a good idea on hot to pull this off. I don't have any o-rings and would rather not permanently modify the mounting system.

I like the h50/70 mounting. Are you using the sticker pad on the underside of the backplate between the mobo? I think that might help add a little pressure, just be sure not to permanently attach it to the back of the mobo!

Yeah, I'm using the pads. I actually cut a bit out from the little plastic inserts and am stress testing right now. So far my temps seem to be about the same. The first time that I attached the sink I failed Linx right off the bat in two tests. I guess that it's from the uneven mounting pressure that I had at first.

Thankfully I had modified used the inserts meant for 1366. I'm going to revert back to the stock mounting system.

Edit: Exactly the same temps.
