To some of you this will not be a surprise. I am launching a custom H20 cooled computer company by the name of Tempest. We will offer "custom" computers built to the customers spec. We will also offer H20 components to those DIY's like those of you in this forum. The website will be up in the next two weeks.
For the first sixty days we will only offer H20 parts and then the systems will be available. The main lines that will be carried are as follows:

Blocks: Alphacool, Aqua, Innovatek, MIPS, possibly a few other Euro designs and 1
Custom CPU block
Rads: Alphacool, Aqua, Innovatek and Thermochill
Pumps: Alphacool, Eheim, Hydor and Laing
We will offer fittings of every size and tubing as well.

I chose these companies because there is not one place you can buy all of them, ala one stop shopping. I could offer the obvious US companies, but I felt that those products are easy to purchase.
My goal is to have a haven for the H20 crowd, as I do not believe that there is a company dedicated to our passion.
I have to thank all of you for your input over the past year, without [H]F and you H20 people, I would not be doing this. I have always enjoyed being an entrepeneur and this will be a great deal of fun for me, at least I hope so!
If you have any suggestions, wishes, wants, flames or any advice, please let me know.

word!

can't wait to see everything materialize seeker!

It is materializing, but I would like your opinion on the components and what you want!

I personally would absolutly love to have my custom computer case ideas turn to real life from a craptacular drawing on a page.
Although, I have already set my mind on a watercooling setup/parts, I still would be very interested in the custom case creation.

Pfft.. I would also need to hire somebody to properly do measurements for me.

One observation (and please don't take it as trolling because it's not) but most of the blocks you're offering are blocks designed for small tubing so why bother offering big tubing with nothing geared to really take advantage of it? Also why bother with Liang pumps since they're easily purchased everywhere?

Just kind of curious which is why I'm asking.

Congratulations! I really appreciate all the help that you have given me and wish your venture well.

I just want to offer as much I can, within reason. In the case of the Liang pumps, some people use them with Alphacool blocks so it made sense.

Why not carry some Iwaki pumps!?
Good idea just not sure how well that would work in a loop with the blocks he will stock.

yep, he should also carry a storm block.

theseeker, if you were to carry the STORM Rev2, would you buy it directly from Swiftech at wholesale prices?

anyway, Iwaki (Wmd-20RZ?) + Storm beats mostly everthing

As theseeker said in his OP, "I chose these companies because there is not one place you can buy all of them, ala one stop shopping. I could offer the obvious US companies, but I felt that those products are easy to purchase. "

i guess...but if it's a good product, as the Storm is, why not offer it anyway? If the price is reasonable and the shipping too, ppl will buy it...

just my thought

The Alphacool blocks have G 1/4 spigots so they can easily do 1/2" ID tubes for the big blowers. ;)

Iwaki WMD series pumps are easy to find and not terribly practical or ideal for watercooling. Iwaki AC heat dump is significant enough to make the gains in flowrate and head practically useless.

If you really want to offer a product nobody else in the watercooling world currently offers, seeker, take a look at Iwaki RD series DC pumps (namely the RD-30). They are only available from Iwaki in quantity, and some of us have had a difficult time trying to get a hold of one (6+ months for me). They are, and this is the opinion of many, currently the most ideal, fairly practical ultra-high-end pump on the market.

Probably a long shot, and probably not something you might want to offer, but I'd thought I'd make the request nonetheless.

Ugh, Seriously??? lol, Sure.
Any idea on pricing just out of curiousity? I'm in Canada EH!

When do you plan on accepting orders? I'm ordering the rest of my setup this weekend and it'd be nice to get everything at one place.

There are other large tubing friendly blocks than the ones made here such as the EK blocks.

It would just make sense to carry a full range of blocks to match the full range of pumps and tubing.

Alphas are the only ones so anyone seeking a large tubing setup will be locked into one brand of blocks. That's kind of bad for business since they'll go elsewhere to buy their blocks.

Then again, there is the service aspect.

Everything has been ordered and it will be here next week. Send me a PM with your requirements.

How much are you going to inflate the prices? Do you intend on making it cheaper than other shops? Or are you going to go with the MSRP?

That is the reason for this thread! If you want to see other products, post a link and explain why I should offer it...please.

We will be much less than Frozen. I am biting my lip!
I believe and know that you will be surprised.

www.ekwaterblocks.com They're the outfit from Slovania and offer some pretty nice blocks.

That'll give a bit of choice to the big tube guys you might get plus they're fairly low restriction so adapting them to smaller tubing would be an option as well.

are u gonna be carrying the aquagraFX for the 7900gtx from aqua? i hope so as the only place to buy them is from aqua themselves and thats a bitch.

Thanks for the headsup! I have sent them an e-mail.
I want to be the "one-stop-shop" for European H20 components. Thanks again.

I understand if you don't want to carry some (all?) of the common domestic WBs as items in the component store, but it seems like I should be able to specify them in a custom-made water-cooled system made by your company.

Good point! If you want us to create a system with your specs, we will do it. You can pick all the components if that is what you want. I or we will make suggestions, but you have the final say. Thanks!

So what's your opinion on supplying Iwaki RD series pumps? Very curious whether or not this is something you'd be interested in.

Frozen is very expensive. Newegg blows their Zalman reservoir prices away by $20.
