H100i...higher than normal temps...

So stupid me tried to run too much voltage through the fan splitter cable that came with the H100i, causing the pump to keep rebooting every 5 seconds after about 30 seconds from powering on my pc.

Accepting my mistake, I ran out and picked up another H100i. Upon opening the box, I noticed a few bent pins on the radiator that my previous one didn't have, but they didn't seem bad enough to return the unit, so I went ahead and installed it. I used the pre-applied TIM that came on the pump, same as I did with the previous unit.

I currently have the radiator configured in a push/pull setup, with the Corsair fans in push, with a pair of Akasa 85 cfm fans in pull. This is all on my 3770k OC'd to 4GHz on stock voltages. On the previous H100i, my idle temps were in the 36-38c range, with max temps at 60c. I was also using the stock Lian Li low-flow fans as the pull with this setup.

On the new H100i, with the Akasas, I'm seeing idle temps at 40-42, with full load in the 65c range. I'm thinking these temps are just too high for a cooler like this. These seem more like temps I'd get with a big air cooler.

Would the few bent fins cause this? Or, being high flow, perhaps the pull fans are not allowing enough static pressure on the radiator (long shot). OR, should I get rid of the stock goop and apply some better TIM on the chip?

Any ideas would be appreciated!
