• Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.

What happend to the buying guide sticky? I was about to link to it in a post, but its gone :(

It's gone. So is one of the moderators (Can't hide it or sweep it under the rug, see my title, if I don't answer this question now, someone else will ask later). Later guys. Don't ask why or go posting any mushy stuff in this thread (save it for PM or e-mail douglite@insightbb.com), although I'm sure Ice Czar would appreciate someone stepping up to provide a replacement, just like I stepped up as a mere Limp Gawd nearly a year ago.

of course gentlemen (and ladies) DougLite is still here and undeniably a major forum leader
he just isnt "officially" able to bust yer balls any more :p

that wouldnt mean Id ignore well founded advice, either technical or behavior ;)

as he says PM or email for the scoop
we hope to have the buying guide restored if possible

Unless anyone has already spoken for it, i've let DL know that i'd love to take it under my wings

Your post has been duly noted, be advised that moderators are chosen by the Admins by quorum vote on the recommendation of another Admin.....just to let you know the process. Kinda like getting into West Point or Annapolis, by appointment :)

Nobody said anything about mod-dom! :p
Just a simple sticky, nothing I haven't done before ;)

but if you're looking.....

That's a good guide... hope it comes back up.

I think I know why the user title has changed...

Vertigo Acid is now in charge of the HDD Buyer's Guide, what remains of it.
