Post em' here! If you dont know by now, everytime you take a SS ( print screen button ), it saves to the BF2 demo folder in "My Documents"...so lets see em!

*Please dont post scores! Just screenshots from teh game, thanks!

**Make sure to post the JPEG image, because when you take a SS, it saves it in two formats!

I like how you can swim forever and not lose health in BF2.

Sometimes I have had to swim from the ship to the artillery to fix them, cause people on my team kept taking every plane/heli/boat and not letting people get in.
 
For crying in the mud, could someone please turn on some AA? These pictures hurt my poor little eyes! Just kidding, lol! The pictures are cool and they're making me want to leave work right now and go play! AAARRGGHH!!! :D

Some people have had copies for a few days now.

The one i know of was one of the lucky ones that EA flew out to discuss modding. (I'm the sound guy for the Battlefield 40k mod, so i didn't get to go... it was for people who had already been involved in "major" mods.)

So i can pretty much confirm some people do have copies well ahead of the shipping dates. This is no shens.
 
Does AA not work in the demo?

I have it maxed in my settings and in the games settings...no change at all. :(

After the initial stutter fest (first 5-10 seconds) it ran flawlessly.

how did u get AA x 6 ninethreeeleven?? i know the how to do 1280 x 1024.. dunno how to get extra AA
 
Its in the settings, I dont think it does anything by default. You have a choice of 2, 4, or 6. Its towards the bottom of the video settings.

it only goes up to 4.... at least in the demo... r u talkin about the demo or the retail?
 
I swear mine goes up to 6, maybe I am wrong? I dont know how I would make that up but I am pretty sure I normally play at 4 and for the screenshots set it up to 6. I'll have to load it up tomorrow (going out) and post back as to what it actually is.
 
wow. that game looks pretty excellent.

I've got about 4 other games to beat before I can start another.

I've noticed no AA either. I have AA on my video card up to 6X and my AS up to 8X.

Here is a description of my system...
AMD 3500+ (clawhammer)
MSI K8N Neo2 Plat.
1-gig Patriot PC3200 (2.5-3-3-8)
ATi 9800pro 128MB
Creative SB Audigy2 ZS
WD 80gig SATA HDD
All cooled by DangerDen WaterCooling
BF2 Resolution 1024x768 85hz.
 
I had the same problem with AA. No matter what i set it 2 it didnt take effect when i played the game. This was using the drivers the demo came with tho. I got the 77.50 and now my AA works perfectly.
 
I am running on ATI 5.4's so maybe I should update to the 5.6's to see if it makes a difference.
 
Are the retail graphics gonna look better than the demo's graphics? Mine are really choppy cept for the hand and the gun. I'm runnin a 6600GT on an Asus A8N SLi with a 3200 Winchester.
 
im shure there will be little optimizations in the retail game that arent in the demo..so yea...it will look better (if only a little)
 
Yeah, they really need to optimize this game :( The retail version will have one more graphical setting ( Ultra High ) -You can actually get this mode by editing some file in the demo's files

To get the AA working, Set AA in your driver settings to Application Preference, then set it ingame.

The FPS is to big for me when I set it to 4X and it screws up my aiming, so I just leave it off. I might have to upgrade my card :( When is the new NV card coming out ( I havent been keepin' up ) and is it coming out in AGP 8x?
 
Just lowering lighting or shadows, your card is just fine. I have a worst card than yours, an X800XL, yet I have no trouble running AA. You just have to lower some other settings.

i bet some of us are getting faster FPS watching these screenies than playing it lol...

I have the setup in my sig and am running 1280x960 4xAA and every other setting on high. rates usually hover in the 60's. 50's with a ton of crap on the screen, almost 100's when not so much crap (ie, just trees and stuff).

edit: btw, in case anyone is wondering, I only have a slight oc on the cpu from 2.0ghz to 2.1ghz. video card is running stock speeds.

What are your exact settings in both the ATI CP and the game? Thanks..

Also, I installed the ATI 5.6's and the AA works now. I was on the 5.4's and it wasn't working, but now it does on the 5.6's.
 
Wow, you guys are so lucky. My FX5500 can only run smoothly in 800x600 with everything on low except medium on geometry and AS. And by smoothly I mean 19FPS average, 30 Max. Dam, I need a job.

Everybody making a nice orchestrated rush on the MEC-controlled spawn point from the US-controlled spawnpoint immediately to the east after our commander cleared it out with an artillery run, dropping health kits and supplies for us on our way there.

It's thoroughly badass when everybody does what they're supposed to, i.e. having multiple support guys escort an engineer to repair damaged artillery guns, or a team of special ops guys taking a boat to the MEC base to blow their radar, UAV station and artillery.
 
:( man. you guys think a 9600pro o/c to 9600xt speeds can play this game? or am i gona have to buy something else?
