Anyone know what screen and projectors they were using?

That is just sick. Man it would be incredible to do that with 6 projectors on a screen like that.

I like it. Not spread out huge like most projectors are set up as. Nice and compact like a regular monitor.... Mmm I want!!

I would say highly specialized projectors that throw a curved image. Pretty awesome looking , I like that much better than the giant curved monitor thats been talked about over the last few years and demo'd at CES.

Well those are just normal projectors. But they are projecting on to a curved projector screen... I think it's glass... But I have no idea. So I asked here and no one else seems to know either. Either that or some one that does hasn't seen this thread yet.

But because of the programs by Scalable the projection onto a curved surface with multiple projectors can be done seamlessly because of their software. It's really quite amazing looking.

I especially like it because of the high resolution... higher than normal monitors, and yet if I want I can blow it up to a huge picture for home cinima use. It'd be perfect.... just wish I knew what they were using.

I'm slowly purchasing stuff for this kind of setup. Lol. Already have the surround sound. I'm building a custom water cooled case. I've decided to wait till the next re-hash of the ATI cards so they can support the extreme resolutions with CrossfireX and not be limited because of the crossfire bridge.

Hmm didn't know it was just a software adjustment , interesting. It would cost a fortune to have a setup like that so I hope you don't go taking out a bank loan for it lol. Its very interesting but pretty unrealistic for current generation users. However if they could get that working in a touch screen style with hand gestures like Minority Report style man that would be incredible.

For a long time, it's been possible to do adjustable keystoning on LCD projectors so that when projected at an angle, the output didn't appear trapezoidal. This was done by resampling the whole screen and pushing it through a transform function. You could certainly do the same thing for multi-projection to get quick calibration. The problem has always been that fine detail looks mediocre compared to native-resolution projection. If you want native-resolution, you need some fine tuning of the edges of the projection area.

Hm.. those rear projection screens are interesting. The kits look cheaper, but you have to cut / mount them yourself - perfect for the DIY crowd. Still, with 2+ projectors and those screens, that's a very expensive setup, even before you get to the curved part. Zero bezel is the only way I could live with Eyefinity.
