Soullfytribe345, I'm going to post here with some generic info because I think some others might benefit from it as well.

At one time we were allowing gmail for registration but it became abused and went the way of yahoo and hotmail. Disallowing them is a board-wide setting and we cannot make exceptions on an individual basis.

For anyone who registered while gmail was allowed, you have been "grandfathered" in for the time being. However, when you want to update your profile or any settings, you will be prompted to change your email to one that is currently allowed.

I do understand concerns about spam. I can assure you that we do not rent or sell email addys to any third parties. Email addys are stored in a database that is not accessible to being "harvested" by spam bots. In all the time I've been here, we have never sent any mass mailings to the membership. If there is anything to be communicated to the membership as a whole, an announcement will be posted on the forum itself. For communication with individual members, the mods/admins use PMs.

Within your user control panel, you have the option to allow others to send you email via a form built into vBulletin. They cannot see your addy when using the form, but you will see their addy when you receive the email. They will only see your addy if you choose to reply to them via email from that addy. (Soullfytribe345, I see you have this turned off anyway.)

The only time you will receive email from here is if you have elected email notification for subscribed threads or PM notification. You also have the option to subscribe without email notification (which is what I prefer to do), then when you visit you can just go into your user control panel and check your subscribed threads.

I have linked my main email address from my own personal email server at home & can't say I have ever been spammed.

I am usually very picky about that and watch spam to trace it from where.
