I've been a lian-li case user for many years now , and as such , I got into Matrix Orbital display-controllers.......they match the case. :p

As part of my recent upgrade , I included a brand-spankin-new , Matrix Orbital GX typhoon display........It's amazing , so I wanted to share a few pics. Enjoy !!

As you can see , it'll do any color for backlight........it will also do most fonts as well.......
There are 2 'expansion bays' that will allow digital baybus type controls.....The expansion cards are still in developement as far as i know.

So far I'm amazed by it's capabilities, it's a worthy successor to the mx series......

As far as the software side goes , as a 'bleeding edge product' it's got some rough edges.....But it'll get better im sure......I look forward to the future of this unit.

:D

Two expansion bays? Where do they go? I see two USB-looking headers ("A" and "B"), are those for the expansion cards or for USB hookups? Are the holes ("1" through "4") for securing the expansion cards?

Or maybe the holes are to mount a hard drive on the tray, using 1 and 3, or 2 and 4?

It looks like there might be a mini-USB connector next to the floppy-drive-size power connector. So I could imagine that the mini-USB is the panel's data connection and the two headers "A" and "B" are for the expansion cards.

The mini USB is the data connection to the computer.

The two connectors you have labled 'a' and 'b' are infact for the expansion cards , which will mount in the holes you have indicated.

It'll be 8-10 weeks till they are out I'm told.......so we'll know for sure then.. ;)
