guide on fixing dead pixel?

I have heard of "masaging" dead pixels, but what does that really mean?

do I sit there and poke the screen with my finger until the pixel works again?

Any help on getting a pixel undead would be great.
 
good luck...I've heard of "massaging" the area with a cutip cotton swab thing. Basically rub the area gently with it. But I've also heard of breaking more pixels around it by doing this. So its a toss up. If you wanna risk breaking more pixels then be my guest. I lightly tried this on mine and stopped because it wasnt working and I sure as hell wasnt gona use mre pressure on it...
