So after a bit of reading

it's just the radiator size, so obviously if i get the RS it will be a smaller radiator which requires higher rpm fans to keep cool

therefore I can get a RX240 have a bigger radiator, install higher rpm fans and keep my system even more cooler?

I'm just trying to research if the RX240 with fans on it will fit in the Thermaltake Level 10 GT

http://img848.imageshack.us/img848/1...2042400353.jpg - doesnt look like ill fit a RX240 with fans in the case

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images...042400357.jpg/ nevermind so it doesnt look safe but looks doable

do you think the radiator being so large and next to the motherboard it will cause a heating issue with the motherboard?

-- im still planning on the Level10GT + XSPC rx240 unless someone has a cheaper, as effecient WC kit

think im going level 10gt
xspc 240rx
high speed fans
fan controller
custom tubing
i just need to find good coolant/additives and i should be set for a little while ;o

RX240 is not a high speed fan radiator. The true king of high speed fan radiators is the Black Ice GTX.

You should look at the Azza Genesis 9000. It's $150 AR, and supports watercooling much better than the Level 10 GT. Or you can also look at the NZXT Switch 810, which is $170 AR.

The Switch 810 supports a 3x140 radiator + 2x120 radiator. The Genesis 9000 supports a 4x120 + 2x140 radiator. Both are far superior options to the Level 10 GT for not much more.

Agree with everything Tsumi said, especially regarding the case choices..the Level 10GT is a poor choice for watercooling, as it only supports it as an afterthought...The NZXT Switch 810 would be my choice, although the Genesis 9000 is a huge case and offers a ton of options for the money as well..

As far as choosing radiators and fans, I would opt for the thickest radiator you can (60mm) and use lower speed fans..This will usually perform the same as a thinner (30, 35mm) radiator with a high FPI with high speed fans, without all the noise and need for a fan controller..

Finally, avoid coolants and additives, just use plain distlled water and a $6 Silver Kill Coil...The best way to keep your loop free of buildup and not have to worry about gunking up your waterblocks..

I've done a lot of testing with the RX240. It doesn't benefit from push/pull nor high speed fans. Your best bet would be fans in the 800-1200rpm range. I run two Gentle Typhoon AP13 fans (1150rpm) on mine to cool a CPU and a 680 GTX and the temps are very competitive.

If you go with the Switch 810 you can get the RX360 kit instead since the top supports a 120x3 radiator :)

are you sure level 10 gt can handle a 360 at the top? do youhave one yourself could you show me some pics please? :)

With modding anything can fit, but I meant out of the box. If your'e up for using a dremel you can probably fit it. The RX240 doesn't fit in the stock Corsair 500R - I dremel'd the hell out of it and now it works :)

It seems like you are really stuck on the level 10 gt case. If that's so just go with it and do some custom work to get stuff to fit.

Try and read. K1tty said a 360 radiator kit with a Switch 810, NOT the Thermaltake.

i forgot to mention i have 300$ in tigerdirect credit in which ill need to buy a case from there

i see the 810 it just looks like its too expensive for such a dull case with basic ventilation

Case looks are entirely in the eye of the beholder. However, I'd recommend hitting up reviews from a few sites on both cases. Looks aside, the 810 is pretty much hands down the best water cooling capable case out of the box other than $400+ cases like CaseLabs and LD.

Look at my post again. I gave you two cases in the $150 range that will support extensive watercooling setups.

And the Switch 810's ventilation is far from basic. Lots of thought went into how it can support watercooling.

Edit: Other good watercooling cases from TD:

HAF X
HAF 932

i just dont feel that switch 810 is worth more than $100, from the fans to the material to the build, but thats just my opinion

i appreciate you posting but im going with the level 10 gt, i liked it

i returned a CoolerMaster 932 already, i dont like huge cases with 10000 holes that require me to buy 100$ of dust filters and fan filters to avoid cleaning it every other day

the HAF X looks nice but its just a 932 on roids, i for some reason liked every feature of the L10GT just wish it was a few inches higher

What about the Azza Genesis 9000 then? It's definitely got a lot more "style" to it. And it has air filters for the bottom fans.

Or stretch your budget by $40, and get the Cosmos II. That definitely has flair. Supports a 360 radiator on the top and a 240 on the bottom.

Or the Phantom 820 for $40 less than the Thermaltake. That also has "styling." Supports a 360 on the top and a 280 on the bottom.

expensive cases, i just don't like their features

reasons i like L10 are, pull out drive bays without opening side panel
swing out side panel in push of a button
controllable chasis fans
controllable led button is always cool
alot of space
one of the only cases that has a huge cutout behind the motherboard

The Cosmos II, Azza Genesis 9000, and Phantom 820 has all of the above besides the pull out drive bays (honestly, how often are you going to be swapping hard drives?), and swing out side panels. And they all appear to be as large or larger than the Level 10 GT.

The Cosmos II has swing out side panels and a fan controller that is significantly better than the one found on the Level 10. It also has two hot swap bays, not 5 like the Thermaltake, but do you really need to swap 5 drives constantly?

The Phantom 820 has elaborate integrated LED lighting and an SD card reader. It even has LEDs that light up the connectivity area in the back. Panels are easily removed by two thumb screws for each panel. It includes a controller for the LED lighting and a fan controller that's better than the Level 10.

The Azza Genesis 9000 has a reversible motherboard tray layout. It also has 2 hot swappable bays. Like the Phantom 820, side panels are easily removed by two thumbscrews. It has the native ability to support two PSUs. It also has GPU supports.

Honestly, I felt like you didn't even look at those cases I suggested before making that statement. You're just trying to justify to yourself that the Level 10 is much superior despite its extreme lack of watercooling support. If you are that dead set on the Level 10, I won't try to dissuade you any further.

Also, I feel like the Level 10 is way overpriced for what it is. If it makes you feel any better, I think the Genesis is worth the full $150 and then some, while the Thermaltake isn't worth $100, especially for a watercooler.

i see alot of hate, i think its because people dont want to pay 280$ for a case

well i payed 180$ for it

thing is, none of the cases you even linked me have a cutout behind the motherboard that would allow me to change the support for a new HSF :)

while i appreciate your opinions, i dont care about them seeing as none of the cases you linked me can remove a harddrive without opening the door

i dont know why peopel hate the level 10 gt, probably same reason they hate ferraris, they cant afford them

also do any of those cases come with a case controlled chassis fan ? 6 usb? or fan filters for the whole case? :)
