i found a radeon 7000 i bought recently but didnt really use

i wanna overclock this, how would i go about doing this and with what software?

also, what kinda information should i search for to learn about the ups and downs and what i should overclock this to?... also whats a good guide thats really easy to understand that would give me an idea towards video card overclocking?

thats a low end card for business desktop use basically. you wont run doom 3 on it......

try google, its a newfangled search engine thingie for tips on ocing ..

Why is it whenever anybody mentions anything about a low end video card. Someone instantly has to pop in the statement "You can't play Doom 3 on it!"....

You know some people don't really care about whether they can play Doom 3 really well or not, or don't even care about Doom 3 at all...

But anyway use ATI Tool, I think that's the name of it...

you are correct about that, I just had a vision I guess of someone with a card going ""HA ha once I get this baby oc'd I can run Doom 3!!!"

radlinker worked well on my 9800 pro btw.......

radlinker puts itself in the display control panel; its the closet thing to coolbits if you are familiar with nvidia.

one more question before i get started... i m running on a non overclockable board... can i still overclock the video card?

just curious, is there a program that can overclock non-BIOS-overclockable motherboards?

i never overclocked video before, only cpu/motherboard... so i m a lil cautious before i do something stupid

You can OC the video card without OC'ing the CPU.It's pretty hard to fry a card OC'ing it if you know the warning signs and don't abuse it.Some of them being,lock-ups and artifacting which usually means the core is too high and tearing,which usually means the memory is too high.As long as you do it in small increments and look out for the signs you should be O.K.,also I use Radlinker too,I like it.
