What would you get GTX560 ti or 6950 2gb? The 6950 is the MSI for $260 and the GTX 560 ti is Evga for $240. This would be for BC2 and BF3 at 1920x1200

I dont have experience with the current Nvidia lineup, but as a 6950 2Gb Reference owner (flashed to 6970 shaders), i can say i could not be more happy with its performance in BF3/BC2 etc.

I play at 1920x1080 and i let BF3 auto assign my settings and it gave me ultra texture, high everything, 16x AA and i am getting 50FPS outside in the park (Operation Metro) NEVER dipping below 45, sometimes as high as 70FPS. And inside the tunnels i get 80 average never dipping below 60FPS and sometimes as high as 90.

I just bought a second XFX (will be getting a lifetime warranty due to its transferable 2 time lifetime warranty) 6950 2Gb Reference to crossfire for $260 shipped here on [H]ardforum.

But overall if those are your only 2 options, in my limited opinion, i would say the 6950 2Gb MSI.

gtx560 ti or 6950 2gb? gee that has never been asked before...:p

between those two for 1920x1200 I would probably go 6950 2gb. I normally prefer Nvidia myself but IMO 1gb is not going to cut it anymore at that res for some games. other than that the gtx560 ti and 6950 are very close in most games. of course there is a 2gb gtx560 ti but its too close in price to the gtx570. I personally think the gtx570 is the minimum card to have for 1920x1080/1200.

Drivers are an often-disputed issue (I don't judge either side's to be much worse than the other), but the control panel? What does nvidia's have that AMD's doesn't?

Well I can tell you this much. I have had far far few issues with ATI drivers then Nvidia drivers lately...

Well, I'll qualify my comment then. All things being equal (drivers) I'd rather use the Nvidia Control Panel than the CCC for quality setting management for individual games. Its superior in that respect.

HD6950 definitely.

- Faster
- More ram
- 4 monitor support / Eyefinity
- Chance to unlock

As with the drivers, I'd put this one down to personal opinion.
