gtx380 clocks leaked?

Everybody already knows the clocks are going to be 5Hz/13Hz/10Hz and is going to push the new GTX 380 to 8TFLOPs with 600GB/Sec memory bandwidth.

Srsly.

Nvidia is taping out this monster for a reason: they still have money, and they know ATI is coming for them, so theyre going to create the monster now and rebadge it 3 times to screw the consumer. I like my GTX 275, but we've already seen how Nvidia operates. This'll be the third time they've done this exact opera ffs.

1) ATI releases good economic cards
2) Nvidia releases monster card that isn't cost effective for 3 die shrinks
3) Nvidia wins because they technically have the fastest card on the market

been in the game for a very long time this is what will happen.

You don't seem to be "in the game" for a very long time, since your first point is wrong already. ATI ONLY started releasing good economic cards with the HD 3800 series. Before that they priced it exactly the same as (or more expensive than) the competition.

Your second point is also quite inaccurate. G80 was big too and it was one of the most successful graphics processors ever.

Nvidia is moving to the new gpu design that is similar to Intel. I don't think their chips for the 300 series will be a GPU as you traditionally know it. It will be more like a CPU with a lot of cores, which means the higher clocks are possible. Now, if they clocked a traditional GPU to 1.7ghz, that would be incredible.

How does a rebadge screw the consumer? I simply do not understand this argument. Does it work slower after they rebadge something with a die shrink and faster clocks? Does a goat come out and eat your socks? What the hell does it matter if it was made in 1929 if you know what speed it runs from reviews and benchmarks. Or is it better that I should have to go try to figure out if a 9800 GTX is faster or slower than a GTX 260 when I can read GTS 250, GTX 260, GTX 275, GTX 280, GTX 285 and know that a bigger number means faster?

It's nothing like a cpu :p as people were saying it's more like cGPU, it's basically a whole crapload of FPU's, which is pretty much what a GPU has become. I believe Nvidia is simplifying this for the upcoming DX11 and OpenCL which both will benefit from this. HPC will change dramatically in the next few years.

This change is more aimed at that then gamers I believe =) Currently there is no game that is too much for what's available in the market graphics cards wise.

and clocks are completely useless at this point. They could be clocked @ 500mhz and be 10x more efficient then previous SP.
