I noticed on the Egg that there are only a few mfg's showing availability of the GTX295. Does anyone know if this is just a temporary supply issue or is it already entering end of life and being phased out for something new?

its that way for all of the GTX series cards.. i dont think its a supply issue.. i think nvidia is buying the cards back to keep prices hiked up.. the GTX series was already phased out pretty much or nvidia's planning another naming scam.. who knows.. watch we start seeing GTX 300's and crap and they are really GTX 285's.. :p

Maybe more of them are going into the system builder market. Holidays are coming. They might of put in big orders to have systems ready for the holiday rush.

Or it could be NV doing stupid stuff again.

It just seems odd that a number of manufacturers who did have cards for sale are no longer even listed. EVGA, XFX, & Gigabyte are the only 3 listed. No MSI, Zotac, etc.

they prolly dont make many of them, not exactly the heavy seller the 8800 GT was
