i have a question regarding CUDA cores in 3d studio max.....rendering.
at present i have sli gtx680's....fantastic at gaming but i like to render in 3d etc.i found out that in the 600 nvidia cards the cuda cores were not seen by iray and it would only render using my cpu's
ok a quadro card is specifically for that i know, but its nice to have an all-rounder!
now....i am thinking of upgrading to either dual 690 cards or dual titan.
is the titan a 700 series card and will the cuda cores be utilised in 3d studio?
as the cards are the same price in the u.k,either look viable, but i am favouring the titan card.
i have even thought of adding a tesla card for really intensive stuff too....fluidic motion and particle flow in animation etc.
any comments would be appreciated......before i sell my kidney to fund this lot!!
