NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080M faster than GTX TITAN X? | VideoCardz.com

Considering the score, it's gotta be a binned 1080 chip with reduced clocks/power usage (I'm thinking core boost around 1250mhz; memory around 8000mhz which would get you 6.2 TFLOPS and TDP around 100w which is the high-end for mxm cards). It can be nothing else, unless nV is jumping the gun and adding even more SPs a la 1080 ti (which ain't happening, and I hesitate to even mention it as the fan boys will start speculating). I'm also going to guess that OEM price is going to be around $800-900.

1080m is a full desktop 1080/GP104 chip, no doubt.

I would assume they would use a binned 1070 so they dont have to use GDDR5x modules to maximize profits.

1070 at stock desktop speeds (where it would need to be to get those 3DMark results) still doesn't get to 100w. Pretty sure 1080m is going to be a full (or slightly cutdown) desktop 1080 with reduced clocks. Whether they use ddrx5 or just ddr5 fr the vram remains unclear, but gp104 supports either.

As awesome as I'm sure the 1080m will be -- I'll probably be using my 970m for quite a few years in the mobile world at least. For when I truly am mobile, not much gaming happens anyway, but the laptop (MSI GhostPro) has been solid as my main machine the past 2 months or so... sold off my AMD GPU's and have been limping along on the laptop till I can easily get my hands on a nice AIB version of the 1080 Pascal.
