GTX 980 SLI @ 1.45 vs TITAN X @ 1.45. for 1600P

Possibly I use a U3415W monitor btw so I am a 1440p gamer I guess.

Just realized the vid was at 1080p. If that translates to 1600p, great. If not, doh.

Found another vid. Looks close.

I got my Titan X for 1440p gaming and to have a flawless Oculus Rift experience.

I would wait until the 980TI comes out. Same amount of cores as a Titan X. Clocked higher. Only thing is 6gb of memory over 12.
Just my opinion.

No evidence to show the card will have same cores. Nv's history should show it would have half memory capacity, same mem clocks, about 10% less cores and texture units & same # of ROPs.

As usual when these threads come up, one faster card over 2 99% of the time. IMO the best case for SLI/CF is when you mostly play only 1-2 games and they support 2+Gpus well. For a while I only played BF4 & Diablo 3. D3 did benefit in certain situations but I could have used a new cpu & BF series has lately had good support and scaling for SLI/CF.

If this helps, here's what you can potentially do with a good Titan X sample. This is from one of mine I just ran earlier at 1.5 GHz: http://www.3dmark.com/fs/4514846

Here's mine @ 1200 and it boosted to 14xx, I don't have the logs in front of me to double check.
