GTX 660 or something else?

$180 AR for a new graphics card is pushing my budget already, but it does come with Assassin's Creed 3. So that's cool. Is there anything else in the price range I'd want to consider? The 7870 is an upgrade, but a minor one for a good chunk of extra money and doesn't come with AC3.

I'll be gaming on a Pentium G860 w/8 GB of RAM at 1080p. I'll play AC3, MechWarrior Online, maybe some COD games and Skyrim.
 
pretty sure nvidia is still better in skyrim so if thats one of the games you want to play i would stick with an nvidia card.
 
From what I've read/know - that GTX 660 is going to be held back by your Pentium. I'd just get it though, to be honest with you. Most people will point out that the Pentium's going to be a bottleneck for that graphics card. So what? It isn't as if getting a cheaper card will somehow get you better performance. That way, when (not if) you do decide to jump to a faster CPU, you'll already have a decent card sitting in your rig that will take advantage of it. $180 for a GTX 660 is awesome. :D

EDIT: And OP, I don't know how Nvidia fares with Skyrim, but I can tell you that with my Radeon HD-7750, I have dumb little visual glitches in the game. No other game does the little odd stuff that Skyrim does. Usually I turn off all reflections because they keep flickering, and it gets very distracting.
 
Thanks. The story is that my ancient Athlon 4850e just died so I'm upgrading the whole shebang. I really don't want to spend more than about $350 total. Seems to make more sense to spend $70 on a G860 and $180 on a 660 than $120 on an i3-3220 and $130 on a 7850.
