I have had 3 gtx 480's running in 3-Way SLI for a while now, so I got a 3rd Dell 3007w Monitors to run in Nvidia Surround (NS). So I got it all hooked up and start NS one of the monitors starts flashing and has broken and torn looking colored lines all over the place, but the other to monitor on the 1st and 2nd GTX 480 work an show the desktop.

Its not a heat issue because there water cooled and never reach over 55c under full load, I'm using a AX1200 watt psu so there getting enough power. Also I've tried with and without a OC but same thing.

So I just think its a bad DVI cord switch out the cor same thing happens, So now switch the monitor that is glitching to the primary card and it works just fine but the monitor that i switch from the primary to the 3rd card now glitches, So i know is not the monitor. So i switch the cord to the 2nd DVI port on the 3rd card and it still glitches. Now I know its not a bad DVI port because neither port on the 3rd card work.

So not I think maybe its a bad SLI bridge so i open my case and change out the 3-way bridge for a new one, but the 3rd card still glitches

Next I think its could be the new 270 driver from Nvidia, So I downloaded the 2 previous drivers, I do a complete clean unistall of 270 drivers, and use driver sweeper to remove all remaining files. And install the previous drivers but it does the same thing as the 270 drivers, So i do this for both previous drivers but to no avail.

So last I disable SLI completely and set Nvidia control panel to activate all displays and boom it does the same thing, So my guess is the display ports on the card are just bad, because when I run 3-way SLI on a single display it works fine and game use all 3 gpu's with out a problem, meaning that the 3rd GPU still works but the display ports are bad.

I was just wondering if anyone ever had this problem before, or if theres a fix for it. I just wanted to asked before I drain my hole water loop to take out this card to test.

Sounds like a bad card to me.

Also did you try different power leads to the card maybe one went bad and the card isn't getting enough power? (unlikely but possible)
