gtx 260 sli

i have 2 gtx 260 cards,,,,,not by the same maufacturer.....can i sli the both of them,,,or do i need 2 of the same make..???
 
As long as they have the same specs (same amount of ram, same gpu and memory speed, same type of memory), they can sli. I have gtx 460's that are both different manufacturers sli'ing just fine.
 
Just keep in mind that there are two versions of the 260, 192sp, and 216sp. It would be ideal to match cards that are the same in that regard, though not necessary.
 
so you just install the 2 cards, apply the sli data cable, and install drivers..is that it?
 
thanks....i am bidding on a 6870 xfx,,,,maybe do cross fire if i win it...be better than the 2 gtx 260.
