Hey guys,

This may or may not be a stupid question, but I really would like some kind of explanation. I was navigating around Newegg and such, and every GTX-260 video card was reporting stock memory MHz @ 1998MHz, and OC sometimes up to 2200MHz and such. When I was utilizing both EVGA Precision, as well as GPU-Z and both reported the same thing.

Note: PC winds down my actual graphics card when I'm not in game, not worried about that, picture just shows what my settings are actually at.

Can someone please shed some light on this issue?

Thanks guys. The fact that it was DDR3 confused me, because at first glance I want to think it's tripled which made no sense what so ever. I even looked it up and that didn't help me. Thanks for clearing this up!

Triple Data Rate would be... TDR.

DDR1, 2, 3, 4, 20, 5000.... still DDR = DOUBLE data rate.
