Don't know why rockstar hasn't done this, but wouldn't it be cool if they build a huge city, bigger then the previous game, and the sold it for a normal price, and also throw in extra missions for like $5 or something like that.

It wouldn't be like a monthly fee that you have to pay, just extra missions you could download.

what are your thoughts on this?

i think they will prefer to recook the game ... put some new mission and sell it at full price as a prequel or sequel to a gta game...

just like liberty city stories on the PSP( wich is good by the way)

you're probably right - they could make more money that way...

I like the way Rockstar does things, leave it how it is I say. Rockstar rocks.

they are the perfect example of dont go to crazy with new features and add buggy crap, but instead, slow steady technology improvement with excellent content design and testing.

Even they wanted to, it probably wouldn't work because it'd be hard to implement on consoles. I'm assuming you're talking about this idea for PC. All the new GTA games since 3 all started on a console. How would you pay, and get the content over? I mean, I know the XBox 360 and PS3 have/will-have built in networking, but not every console will have a hard drive to store the content.

It's an interesting idea, nonetheless. Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City for PSP is supposed to have additional downloadable content in the future. It probably won't be missions, but it might be something like adding new vehicles and adding online multiplayer capabilties. In fact, I'd rather have new downloaded cars than missions for some reason.

GTA needs to go multi-player. Until then I don't care about anything else.

It already is on PC, and the PSP. PC is unoffical, and done by a third party download. I've tried it out, and it's a LOT of fun. The full city is available, and you can fly, drive cars, ect. So far 3, and Vice City is supported. San Andreas is being worked on now, and near a release.

The PSP's version of multiplayer is with GTA: Liberty City Stories, and it's local only. No internet game play. There *might* be mulitplayer in the very near future for the PS2/Xbox since the PSP's Liberty City is being ported over. So who knows.

edit: here's the link for the PC's multiplayer for you http://www.multitheftauto.com/ If you haven't tried it out, you *really* should. I haven't tried 3, but Vice City was great. Me and some guys were riding motorcycles together and racing. It's fun to take turns letting someone else drive while you ride on the back.
