GT430 - typical temperatures ??

Greetings -

Just installed a GT430 (the EVGA dual DVI version).
Only one monitor currently attached.

At 'idle' (i.e. - not gaming or watching a movie), CPUID HW Monitor indicates the temp in the mid-to-high 50's (54-57°C as I type this).
Jumps to high 60's when watching a movie.
The fan stays at 65% in either case.

In comparison, the System temp is 37°C, and the CPU (a Phenom II X6 1090T) is 36°C. Ambient temp is, oh, 75-80°F.
Bottom line -- the GT430 temps strike me as high.
I'd welcome knowing what's typical / whether I may have a faulty card.

Those temps are just fine. Generally budget cards like the 430 have less than optimal cooling to save on cost. Either way 60s is normal.

Sounds a bit high, but you should be alright. Most of those sorts of cards idle in the 50s or 60s.

Well, I guess it's called 'air cooling' for a reason.

After moving the Delta44 card one slot over to give the GT430
room to breathe, temperatures dropped ~20°C at idle, and >20°C
under load (maxing at 77°C after 10 minutes of furmark).
[Who'd have thunk that rendering a fuzzy doughnut could be so demanding?]
