... That i should be looking for an AC3 codec for my ickle video.

i've looked around, but all i've found is decoders (that didn't help me) and some strange codec pieces that are supposed to be AC3 (but i couldnt figure out).

any ideas?
 
AC3Filter? It's all you need if you just want to play a video file with AC3 audio. If you're looking to encode AC3, I think BeSweet does it.
 
Use google and search for something called the DefilerPak.


Install that and you're good to go.
