Group Criticizes YouTube Over Copyrights

A coalition of Japanese television, music and film companies claims that Google is not doing enough to prevent videos of copyrighted material from being posted on its site.

"YouTube has to stop how it runs its site and get rid of the illegal clips. We want them to reset the service," composer Hideki Matsutake told a joint press conference in Tokyo Thursday. The coalition met with YouTube and Google executives earlier in the week, the second such meeting this year.

What would youtube be without all that content?

Stupid videos of people hurting themselves, and people with no lives commenting on other people's comment videos.

thing I don't like to see is all the fan based creation and parody that goes away with these blanket sweeps. Its like there is no "fair use" exceptions.
