Was wondering what all needs to be grounded on a motherboard.I got a small rack with a piece of equipment that was shipped to me. The rack was just protective measures for shipping but the rack is to nice to throw away( a nice 300$ Middle Atlantic rack) and perfect for a modOrama weekend. I am mounting a mobo to a 5 space rack shelf by marking and tapping the stand off screws. I am pretty sure this is what grounds a mobo in a case but want to make sure. Does the I/O shield ground anything? Any input would be appreciated so I can start my work this weekend.
